A passionate motorist and guiltless hedonist, Tristan Auer has been collecting vintage cars for several years. As an interior designer of luxury hotels and prestigious private residences, he envisions the car as a unique space - a shelter between two worlds, the intimate stage where emotions and sensations come into play.

The “Car Tailoring” project has sprung from Tristan Auer’s desire to share his vision of the complete experience of radical customization with fellow art-lovers and collectors. The designer views a car’s interior the same way as that of a home, in the sense that it should reflect its owner’s tastes, lifestyle and personality. He invites his clients and travelling accomplices on a journey where he reveals their inmost desires, casting light on the secret corners of their soul. For each, he comes up with a specific narrative and style, enriched both by his sense of contemporary chic and his love of French savoir-faire. He designs imaginative tailor-made objects and accessories to create a unique multi-sensory universe for each “luxury cabin”.

When undertaking the art direction of these new spaces – today, the car, tomorrow the boat or the airplane – Tristan Auer translates the emotion that is the hallmark of his decors’ quality and originality. He applies years of experience and passion as a contemporary interior designer to a new experience of elegance and intensity, a new art de vivre in motion.
